Our basic school is interested in ecological education.
Senior pupils study ecological and aesthetic education as one of the school subjects for 3 years. We have got very good experience in international project „Tulip“ which Czech and Dutch children took part in. We are members of „The Club of Ecological Education“ and we have been co-operating with a number of ecological organizations for many years. Arboretum is one of our long-termed projects where we have concentrated 130 kinds of trees and bushes with description of their basic charakteristics. We map memorable and interesting trees in an area of our domicile.
Prague 12 to make their detailed inventory. In addition to making and keeping up an instructive pathway „Modranska gorge“ we are closely co-operating with „The Union of Czech Environmentalists“.
Because our school gained an amount of money by means of paper collection we could arrange a classroom outdoors which has been built by Czech carpenters and sculptors. It’s a good way how to introduce alternative methods of working into teaching because aesthetic sense of taking in surrounding world is an intergral part of education.
